New prices for the Caribbean citizenships

All five Caribbean countries with citizenship through investment programs are significantly raising the bar for necessary investment amounts. The new minimum price for any option is 200,000 USD, a substantial increase for all five Caribbean CIP host nations.

St Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, and Saint Lucia are standing united in implementing the Memorandum of Agreement on Citizenship By Investment Programmes, a powerful demonstration of their collective strength and commitment to the stability of the programs.

According to Caribbean News Now, the mutual agreement, a key part of the changes in Caribbean citizenship through investment programs, aims to ensure cooperation, information sharing, adherence to common best practice standards, and regulatory oversight.

How much can the minimum investment be for a Carribean passport?

As per the agreement, any discounting from the agreed minimum donation or investment amount of 200,000 USD is strictly illegal. This amount, almost double the current amount, is the minimum required for the naturalisation of a single investor.

Another significant development for the United Caribbean CIB market is the establishment of the Interim Regulatory Commission. With its mandate for comprehensive supervision and reporting on all aspects of the passport schemes, this commission is set to ensure a high level of oversight and accountability, providing a sense of security to all stakeholders.
Saint Kitts and Nevis, Grenada, and Saint Lucia have already introduced the new financial requirements. Antigua and Barbuda asked for a 30-day implementation period, and Dominica must publish its new costs in a few days.
