The citizenship by investment program from the Commonwealth of Dominica ranked as the world's best four times in a row, according to the Financial Times' Professional Wealth Management magazine.
The study compares 14 different jurisdictions with citizenship by investment programs, according to the following characteristics.
The competition is harsh because the countries with CBI programs continuously change their rules to be able to adapt to the always-changing international immigration market. Meanwhile, the new ranking is impressive because it contains even the latest legislation created to balance the difficulties due to the coronavirus.
However, the findings of the study can be debated because, for example, Bulgaria does not even have a business citizenship program. And the EU Member State ranks relatively high on this list. So, let's see this recent CIB Index's results for 2020:
2. St Kitts and Nevis
4. St Lucia
5. Antigua and Barbuda
11. Bulgaria (does not exist)
Caribbean countries retain their position at the top of the list, according to the analysts of the Financial Times. Dominica's highest rank is not a surprise, because after the excellent due diligence check, the straightforward process and the low price, Dominica also introduced a new and ideal option for family reunification. Meanwhile, the passport of Dominica allows you to enter visa-free 137 countries (included the European Schengen countries). There are no income, wealth or inheritance taxes in Dominica, and the process of becoming a citizen takes only three months.
