Vanuatu's citizenship by investment program could be one the most successful immigration schemes for High Net Worth Applicants.
Discus Holdings' managing director, László Kiss revisited Vanuatu after the prosperous second year of the scheme. Mr Kiss shared information on the local developments and news of the citizenship by investment program.
Why is Vanuatu considered as one of the most successful citizenship by investment program?
Last year the government's revenue from the Vanuatu Development Support Program (VDSP) and the China-exclusive Vanuatu Contribution Program (VCP) increased by 280%. It is a straightforward and affordable solution to become a passport holder of Vanuatu.

What does Vanuatu do with the revenue from the investors' immigration scheme?
Vanuatu is located in a very active meteorological storm area and was hit several times by the most devastating tropical storms. The last hurricane, known as the "Cyclone Palm" almost destroyed the country, and there are more to come. The tropical nation's government is in a constant financial grasp to get enough funds not only to rebuild the country but to prevent the next storm's destruction. In addition the country has to prepare it's properties and the infrastructure as well. The citizenship by investment program generates the necessary funds for the government to defend Vanuatu.
What did you do in Vanuatu?
I met governmental officials and agents. It was also exciting to exchange ideas and experiences with the representatives of four local and international immigration service provider agencies. I refreshed my knowledge and studied the new amendments and developments related to the citizenship by investment program of Vanuatu. In the meantime, I built new contacts.
