The citizens of EU member states can stay in Hungary without visa, but after three months they have to provide information to the local authorities and change their residency, in the EU it means they have to change their official address. Visitors from outside of the European Union can stay in the country for up to 90 days as long as they can find employment. If someone wants to invest and live in Hungary or in the European Union then the easiest way to obtain a Hungarian residency or EU residency for Schengen countries is participating in the Hungarian Residency Bond System. With the Hungarian Residency Bonds Programme the applicant will have the temporary residency permit in one month and six month after the permanent residency permit.

Hungary has not adopted the Euro, its currency is still the Hungarian Forint (HUF). The banknotes are : Ft 500, 1.000, 10.000 and 20.000. The coins are Ft 5, 10, 20, 100 and 200.

Hungarian healthcare is available to all citizens, payed by tax to the national social insurance. The healthcare is available if the expat contributes to healthcare provision. Private healthcare insurance schemes are also available.

For children aged between 6 years to 16 years the education in Hungary is compulsory. The high standard of the system offers excellent education leading to University level. There are several International schools in Budapest also in English, Chinese, Russian, etc languages.

Buying and renting Property in Hungary

Buying or renting property in Hungary is one of the best investments in Europe. After the global crisis the prices are so low that are simply uncomparable with the prices of other Central-European or Western-European countries. This is also a very good reason to participate in the Hungarian Residency Bond System. The applicants has to have a Hungarian address. This is much more cheaper by renting or buying property in Hungary as in other countries. There are several possibilities from the one flat apartments to the beautiful countryside castles to purchase or buy.
